Pieces

I had a piece of you, a piece of shining darkness
I had a piece of hope, a love that doesn’t ask for time
I was wasted in silence and gone in the wind
On a path without remembrance
On a strange tale of woe
I saw a glimpse of your soul, a poetry of love
I saw your eyes planting the flag of time
In my fragile dreamland, in my naive shell
I was caught running in your mystery
And everything makes sense when you hold me
I had a piece of starlit skies in my hands
